Previously only made for the Emperor due to its labor intensive processing technique, this tea is pan roasted, then steam under cloth to re infuse it’s own essence, creating an extremely rare and uniquely delicate brew. Flavor is vivid, fresh, bright aromas, floral, deep grassy essence, slight mineral, and cucumber— with a nice cooling sensation on the back of throat. This bud pick tea is lovely, fresh, not bitter, and very very rare to find well made, ours comes from the Meng Ding cultivar in Mengdingshan, in Yaan, Sichuan Province, China. Fresh pick from 2020 Spring.
